Peer Recognition Program

Greater Valley EMS started a "Peer Recognition Program" in March 2008. The program was started as a way to recognize those employees/volunteers who go above and beyond their normal job duties. Employees are nominated by their peers and once a month a winner is selected by random drawing from the month's entries. After a winner has been selected, the winner is notified. All nominations are posted, so that all nominees can be acknowledged. At the annual awards banquet, all nominees for the past year are entered into a Grand Prize drawing. There will be one entry for every nomination that an employee received for the past year. Example: Employee A was nominated 3 times and Employee B was nominated 10 times in the past year. Employee A will have 3 chances to win and Employee B will have 10 chances to win the grand prize.
