Christmas came a
little early for
GVEMS employees this
year. The
Management and Board
of Directors
recently decided to
create a position
dedicated to the
recruitment,
retention, and
general employment
issues.
Terri L. House, of
Sayre, PA, joined
GVEMS as the
company’s new HR
Specialist. Her
full-time duties
will include
applicant flow, EEO
reporting, employee
manual updates,
supervisory and
staff training for
human resource
issues, wage and
salary
administration,
benefits, and
employee relations.
“GVEMS has grown to
the point it’s a
good time to hire
someone to act in
the employee’s best
interests” remarks
House of her
position. The HR
duties have
previously been
spread among various
staff members and
the new HR position
will provide a
single point of
contact which is
sure to benefit
morale.
Terri House’s
previous employment
was 12 years with
Ingersoll Rand,
Athens, as a Human
Resource
Administrator. She
has a Bachelors of
Science degree in
Business
Administration from
Elmira College and a
Certificate from
Cornell University
in Human Resource
Management.
